SalaryInSpain (info@salaryinspain.com) provides salary, tax and self-employment estimates and relocation-related information for people moving to Spain. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use the site.

What the site does

SalaryInSpain's Salary, Self-Employed and Beckham Law calculators run entirely in your browser. When you move a slider, pick an option or type a number, that calculation happens on your device — it is not sent to a server to produce your result.

Calculator inputs

The calculators run in your browser, so the numbers you type are not sent to us to calculate your result. Closing or refreshing the page clears your inputs.

If you choose to submit a form, the information you enter in that form is sent so we can process your request or subscription.

Newsletter and calculator-update forms

Some pages have an optional email form — for example the newsletter sign-up on the home page, the Salary Calculator, the Self-Employed Calculator, our guides, or the optional email step in the Beckham Law Calculator. These forms may collect:

• Your email address.
• An optional first name, where the form asks for one.

We use this to send occasional updates: changes to Spanish tax rates or Social Security contributions, calculator improvements, and new guides or practical content relevant to moving to or working in Spain. We do not send unrelated marketing.

You can ask us to delete your email address at any time by writing to info@salaryinspain.com. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Professional Help enquiries and professional referrals

If you use the Professional Help form, we collect the information you choose to submit so that SalaryInSpain can review and manage your enquiry. This includes:

• Your name and email address.
• Your phone number, if you choose to provide it.
• The category and stage of your enquiry.
• Your short description of the help you need.
• The page or section from which you opened the form.
• Your confirmation that SalaryInSpain may review the enquiry and contact you about a possible professional introduction.

Please do not include passport or NIE numbers, bank details, tax returns, documents, health or disability information, or other sensitive information in this initial form.

SalaryInSpain reviews the submission before any referral. If the enquiry appears suitable, we may contact you about an introduction to a selected independent provider of tax, legal or relocation services. We will identify the proposed partner and ask for your confirmation before sharing your submitted contact details or enquiry. We will not share them with a professional partner solely because you submitted this initial form.

After you confirm, the selected partner may assess the request and contact you. That partner decides whether it can accept the matter and is responsible for any professional service it agrees directly with you. Submitting the form does not create a professional-client relationship with SalaryInSpain or any partner. SalaryInSpain may receive compensation if you later become a client of the partner.

We do not use a Professional Help submission to add you to a newsletter. Newsletter consent, if offered elsewhere, is separate.

We keep Professional Help enquiries only for as long as needed to review and manage the referral, document your request and consent, resolve questions, and meet any applicable legal obligations. You may withdraw your consent before the information is shared, or ask us to delete information we still control, by writing to info@salaryinspain.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that has already taken place; after a referral, you should also contact the identified professional partner about information it controls.

Hosting and forms

The site is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions are processed using Netlify Forms. This includes Professional Help enquiries. We do not use a separate backend or third-party email marketing tool for form handling.

Analytics and cookies

SalaryInSpain only loads Google Analytics (Google tag) if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you reject or dismiss analytics, Google Analytics is not loaded, and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

When enabled, analytics may collect aggregated, non-identifying usage information such as which pages are visited, general device and browser information, and how visitors interact with the site. We use this only to understand and improve the calculators and content — not to identify individual visitors.

Not tax, legal or financial advice

Every estimate on this site — salary, self-employed costs, Beckham Law savings, or affordability figures in our guides — is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute tax, legal, payroll, immigration or financial advice. Always consult a qualified Spanish tax advisor, gestor or immigration professional before making decisions based on these figures.
