SalaryInSpain (info@salaryinspain.com) provides salary, tax and self-employment estimates and relocation-related information for people moving to Spain. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use the site.

What the site does

SalaryInSpain's Salary, Self-Employed and Beckham Law calculators run entirely in your browser. When you move a slider, pick an option or type a number, that calculation happens on your device — it is not sent to a server to produce your result.

Calculator inputs

The calculators run in your browser, so the numbers you type are not sent to us to calculate your result. Closing or refreshing the page clears your inputs.

If you choose to submit a form, the information you enter in that form is sent so we can process your request or subscription.

What forms collect, and why

Some pages have an optional email form — for example the newsletter sign-up on the home page, the Salary Calculator, the Self-Employed Calculator, our guides, or the optional email step in the Beckham Law Calculator. These forms may collect:

• Your email address.
• An optional first name, where the form asks for one.

We use this to send occasional updates: changes to Spanish tax rates or Social Security contributions, calculator improvements, and new guides or practical content relevant to moving to or working in Spain. We do not send unrelated marketing.

You can ask us to delete your email address at any time by writing to info@salaryinspain.com. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Hosting and forms

The site is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions are processed using Netlify Forms. We do not use a separate backend or third-party email marketing tool for form handling.

Analytics and cookies

SalaryInSpain only loads Google Analytics (Google tag) if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you reject or dismiss analytics, Google Analytics is not loaded, and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

When enabled, analytics may collect aggregated, non-identifying usage information such as which pages are visited, general device and browser information, and how visitors interact with the site. We use this only to understand and improve the calculators and content — not to identify individual visitors.

Every estimate on this site — salary, self-employed costs, Beckham Law savings, or affordability figures in our guides — is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute tax, legal, payroll, immigration or financial advice. Always consult a qualified Spanish tax advisor, gestor or immigration professional before making decisions based on these figures.
